Here are the parts that I scavanged up to repair the damage done. I got them off of the same car, which had damage to the other side. I gave $10.00 for the door, $5.00 for the fender, and $10.00 for the quarter panel. I had to cut the quarter panel out with an air chisel. Now I had no way of putting these parts back on myself. Nor did I have the know how. I had to pay to get this car fixed! All of $225.00! Yep! You read that right! At the time, it seemed like a lot of money to me, but I think that was even a good price back then. And that was including the paint and materials! I don't know what it would cost to do a repair like this nowadays, but I could only guess at upwards of $3000.00 and that's just a dumb guess you might say. Man......I wish you could find good used body parts and labor that cheap now! This was in 1979. I also put new bumpers on it after it was painted, so the total cost of all this was about $300.00!
